Ebrahim Hamidi

Hi, I’m Ebrahim Hamidi (ابراهیم حمیدی).

I am a Postdoctoral fellow in the Coastal Hazards Lab at North Carolina State University and collaborate closely with the Global Hydrology Lab at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

I completed my Ph.D. at the University of Alabama, where I conducted research in the Coastal Hydrology Lab and the Center for Complex Hydrosystems Research.

I am interested in natural hazard assessment, particularly compound coastal flooding, through the integration of high-resolution satellite remote sensing, hydrodynamic modeling, geospatial analysis, and field-based data collection, while leveraging high-performance parallel computing and cloud-based platforms to improve flood monitoring, hazard assessment, and coastal resilience.
